Rita Nagudi
Rita is a six year old girl whose parents died of AIDS when she was three. Her only close relative left is her widowed grandmother, who is now struggling to care for Rita and her five siblings. Even basic needs like food are difficult for the grandmother to supply. Rita lacks health care as well as food and is unable to attend school because she cannot buy the needed supplies. With a sponsor, Rita could have these necessities provided. Rita has high hopes of going to school and someday becoming a nurse. She needs a start in life.
Emmanuel Kusibila
Emmanuel is the seventh child in a family of nine children. He is a very bright child who excels in math at school, but recently had to stop attending school because his parents cannot pay for school supplies. The parents are peasant farmers who are struggling to take care of their children under extreme poverty. They are praying that they will be able to raise their children in a Godly home. Emmanuel needs a sponsor to help him with his schooling and the basic needs of life.
